COLLEGE PROVIDING GCSE AND GCE IN BRYANSTON

Greenwich College is a registered Cambridge University examination centre offering tuition from IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) onto GCE A Level Examinations and then GCE A Level examinations.

The examining body is Cambridge International Examinations. The validity and acceptability of these qualifications is recognised both locally and Internationally.

Greenwich College was established in 1998 to offer students an alternative schooling system that is Internationally recognised. We are therefore able to accommodate students from other parts of the world whose parents may be in South Africa on contract for a few years, such as embassy staff, as the students can continue with the same syllabuses and system when moving on to another country.

Greenwich College has a proud record of students who have gone on to local and Overseas Universities, becoming top acheivers in faculties of Medicine, Commerce and Law amongst others.
The college has a relaxed atmosphere and utilizes a unique structure to ensure attendance and progress in studies, without being regimented. Feedback to parents is a big factor in this approach which, is not intended to require more of parents but to make them aware and encourage their child. Students are not required to wear school uniform.

We follow a four term academic calendar following closely the South African school terms so as to accomodate families with siblings in other schools.

AT WHAT STAGE CAN A STUDENT ENROLL AT GREENWICH COLLEGE?

Any student who has completed Grade 9 (9th year of schooling) may apply to enter IGCSE. To enter AS Level or A Level students should have completed their IGCSE or O Levels (Grade 11).

LECTURERS AND CLASSES

All our Lecturers are highly qualified and experienced in their field and the study material offered by Cambridge is of a very high standard. This enables students moving from other schools to adapt easily to the new system. Classes are kept small to ensure individual tuition and the early detection of any problems being experienced by the student.
